Call To Creators: I'm looking for original artwork as well as unique and interesting pieces of furniture, clothing, jewelry, textiles, sculpture and anything else that is exquisite, beautiful, fascinating, and/or innovative.
What will be considered: I am especially interested in abstracts, color fields, and portraits. Media includes oils, acrylics, pastels, charcoal, conte, pen and ink, collage, and most other classic mediums. New materials are encouraged and use of found objects and technology are eagerly anticipated.
What might or might not be considered: Although exceptions will be made for work showing an innovative approach or mastery of the genre, I am generally not interested in landscapes, still lifes, student work, or pastorals. Giclees may be considered if the artist is using the medium as a concept within the piece and the piece is original and unique and has not been reproduced.
What will not be considered: I am not interested in work that does not show exceptional skill. Poor execution, low quality materials, lack of concept or general mediocrity will not be considered. Examples of things that will not be considered include reproductions, giclees (where it is not an original piece), prints, consumer products, and art house imports.
Requirements to be considered: The artist must be established and have documented sales. In some cases an artist may be considered that is not established yet but the work must be exceptionally fine and/or innovative. In the case that an artist is not established, it may be necessary to supply samples of your work at your expense for consideration.
The work must be created or owned by you. Dealers and galleries have more than enough resources available to them to market artists work effectively so I'll be focusing on work from the owner or creator who would appreciate a more intimate circle in which to establish a following.
The artist or owner must be willing to enter a contract, if approved, that will place all responsibility of shipping on the artist or owner. I do not want to be in the business of warehousing, shipping, or managing a physical inventory so it would be your responsibility to manage all of the physical inventory. Because of this, it will be important for me to know that you have those capabilities, resources, responsibility, and business awareness. You would be paid only after the buyer has either signed off that the item(s) was received in good condition. The buyer would have agreed, when they purchased the item, that they are aware that they must either go to the site and indicate that the piece was received in good condition or not. If that is not done in 10 days after the date of purchase, it will be assumed that everything is fine and payment will be made to the artist. If not, it will be your responsibility to rectify the situation. I will not litigate disputes or mediate anything. I am serving as only a marketer and escrow service. If the situation cannot be resolved, I will decide to either return the money to the buyer or give it to the seller based on the knowledge I have of the situation. You will need to agree that any decision I make in that situation is final and no further action can be taken against me. If you do not agree, any further actions will need to be between you and the other party and I will not be a participant. I assure you, any decision I make will be reasonable, lucid and fair given my knowledge of the situation, but I do not want to be in the middle of any ongoing dispute so my involvement ends clearly when I make the decision to allocate the money. In many cases, all relationships between me and the seller and/or me and the buyer will then severed and no further business will be conducted in that relationship.
